All-new inside and out!

I installed an all-new interior, retaining the original Slate color. It has a wood telescopic wheel, AM/FM radio with rear seat speaker, custom deluxe seat belts, and day/night rear view mirror. I obtained a stereo multiplex unit for the car but I didn't want to cut holes to fit the 4 speakers, so I installed two smaller speakers in each of the existing speaker locations, in the center of the dash and at the rear, on the parcel shelf.

The Corsa dash panels were stripped, re-anodized, and repainted. The wing window frames were re-plated as were the Corsa emblems on the inside door panels.

I feel I have met all my original goals for this project and I can now enjoy driving my dream Corvair.

Mike, this Corsa turbo not only looks like it just rolled out of the factory, it gives you the impression it must have been followed down the assembly line by quality control inspectors.

The subtle yet substantial engine modifications transport your turbo into the 21st Century, and your planned future addition of a water injection system sounds worthwhile. A guy's got to like that hint of attitude in the vanity plate, too. Well done, Mike!
