Stinger

Others personalize their Stingers. Seen below is Bill Cotrofeld's YS#002. Bill chose to break from the Yenko color scheme with stripes in favor of a solid dark blue trunk lid.

According to Yenko aficionado, Joe Curren, YS#002 was originally delivered in Stage IV tune, and remains that way today. It has headers, a spring-loaded idler pulley, a trunk mounted oil cooler, and 4 Corvair carburetors. The carbs have special Clark's Corvair Parts air-cleaners. The PVC tube was plugged at the crossover pipe and the crankcase breather tube was fed directly in the right hand air-cleaner. The trunk and deck lids are Fiberglas, and the interior is stripped, and uses a beefy roll cage and hard core racing seat.
